I write musicals and operas because I love collaborating. My first collaborator is my composer. Then the director, music director, producer, crew. Then the perfomers. And finally the audience.
My work has been called “well-paced and keenly sharpened” (The Washington Post), “delightfully funny” (Buzzfeed), and “witty, hilarious and completely delightful” (The Huffington Post).
I like writing in different genres, from musical comedies like Come Dine With Me to experimental operas like Hairpiece. I once wrote a book of comic poems, before growing up and deciding that experimental operas offered a more stable career path.
Also, I write a very infrequent blog.
Also, I send out a very infrequent newsletter. (Seriously, it’s cracking stuff, you should get on it.)
